Tryouts are held for all MSC U11-U19 (review birth year chart) traveling teams.
Players that are U9/U10 and interested in traveling U10 soccer, email treasurer@miltonsoccerclub.com
If U9/U10 and interested in trying out for U11 soccer, please register and attend assessments.
Athletes must register and participate in tryouts to be considered for placement on a competitive team.
Registering and participating in Assessments is NOT a commitment to play for the upcoming season.
Placement on a specific team is not guaranteed, but we make a great effort to make sure every player is on a skill and age appropriate team.
Girls - 6/6
Boys - 6/7
Both dates are held at Schilberg Park.
Wear cleats and shin guards,. Bring a ball, if you have one that is the correct game size, but this is not required.
Athletes are required to tryout in their age appropriate group, but may be considered for a different age group. Soccer placements are determined by based on skills.
MSC attempts to form teams at each age group levels from U11-U19; MSC reserves the right to combine age groups or form coed teams. Team offers are also dependent upon the number of licensed coaches available.
VOLUNTEERS HELP MAKE THIS A SUCCESSFUL EVENT!
We are also always looking for help with this event to help coach/run drills, evaluators of players and player check in and registration. Please email treasurer@miltonsoccerclub.com if you are able to volunteer.
WHAT IF I CAN NOT ATTEND?
If an athlete can not attend tryouts, you must email in advance. MSC will review alternative evaluation steps. If we are notified after, we can not guarantee that a player will be assessed. Please email treasurer@miltonsoccerclub.com, if you can not attend tryouts.
Note: High school girls that are in season, should not attend tryouts. Please email us to state your interest in playing the upcoming season and other arrangements will be made.
OFFER COMMUNICATION OF TEAM PLACEMENT
Athletes are offered positions following tryouts via email in late June/early July for High school aged players.
THE EMAIL USED TO REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS/ASSESSMENTS IS THE EMAIL USED FOR OFFER LETTER DISTRIBUTION, REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND UNIFORM ORDERING INFORMATION. Please review and update email information at the time of Assessment registration.
Athletes will have 48 hours to respond to offers and should follow instructions included in the emailed offer.
ARE YOU ABLE TO COACH OR KNOW OF A GREAT COACH?
We are always looking for interested coaches for upcoming seasons, please reach out if interested in coaching a traveling team.
ARE YOU YOUNGER THAN U11 BUT LOOKING TO START TRAVELING SOCCER???
Teams can begin traveling at U9. Tryouts are not required for U9 and U10, for a U9/U10 Traveling team. The Club will gauge interest and provide additional information during the Spring In House season for players, families and coaches that may be interested. This is not an offer for a team, a guarantee of placement or a requirement to play, simply acknowledging that additional information about traveling soccer is desired.
A coach and the minimum number of players must be confirmed, prior to notifying MAYSA that MSC will have a team at this age. This will also occur in June, similar to U11+ teams. U9 and U10 are eligible to play in house with MSC, and will be the alternative option if not enough players or a coach can be identified.
ASSESSMENT DAY:
Meet at the Schilberg Park pavilion.
5:30 check-in
6:00 assessments begin (anticipated completion around 7-7:30)

$20 online, prior to the first day of tryouts
