Milton Soccer Club (MSC) In House Program strives to promote the growth and appreciation of the sport of soccer by providing a culture of learning, growing and having fun with the sport in a recreational environment. MSC's in house (recreational) program consists of MSC teams playing other MSC teams in 6+ games per season including our annual end of the season Spring Tournament / Fun day! Teams are coached by volunteer coaches, therefore practice dates/times vary and are determined by individual coaches.
Age groups are U4-U10
MSC also offers a traveling soccer program consisting of teams that travel outside of Milton to play soccer in a more competitive environment, but are placed in tiers to align teams of similar skills and experience, within each age group. A typical Spring and Fall season of Club soccer consists of eight games each season; 4 home and 4 away.
Traveling Team Assessments are conducted in early June for the following Fall - Spring season. Assessments are held only one time per year and are used to determine the number of teams formed, and at what level. The number of teams is also dependent upon the number of players and coaches available each season. Placement is not guaranteed but our goal is to place all players on an appropriate team.
Traveling teams require a higher level of commitment than our in house program. Not everyone that tries out is guaranteed a roster position on a traveling team, but MSC attempts to place all athletes on a team appropriate for them. There is typically 2 practices per week and a longer season of training and games. Practices are weeknights and games on Saturday or Sunday, unless a rescheduled game.
Traveling can begin at U9 and is a requirement beginning at U11.
MSC values and welcomes volunteers to help with coaching, tournament day, picture day, scheduling or a variety of the other tasks that are involved in running our soccer program.
